20 May - Sections of Light-to-Light walk

Base Camp or Day Walk

Walk Coordinator: Helen Williamson

Meet: 10:00 at Saltwater campground 10:00 Sunday

Grade: Easy

Description: We'll be camping Saturday and Sunday nights. If you'd like to join us for the whole weekend you're welcome, otherwise join us for a day walk on Sunday. Check bookings with National Parks. Planned are walks toward Bittangabee on Sunday - possibly with

car shuffle depending on attendance and track conditions and possibly an informal walk northwards on the Saturday. Contact Helen to let us know if you're coming and watch the blog at bvbw.blogspot.com for updates.
Update#1: "Dear Bushwalking buddies,
Peter and I checked out Saltwater Creek campsite today. There are only 4 drive in camper trailer sites and the others require you to park near the campsite. There is a special at the moment , 3 nights for the price of 2 if booked online . You can also have 6 people on one site.
Before we book we would like to know the number of people who plan to camp, who needs a van site and who is just walking on the Sunday to help with decisions regarding car pooling etc as we may start the walk from Bittangabee.
If you are interested in doing the walk which is part of the Light to light walk and reasonably easy or if you are thinking of camping please email me over the next few days.
Warm Regards
Helen and Peter Williamson"

Update #2:
"Peter and I have changed the start time for our walk this Sunday May 20th to 9.30 am . We will meet at the Saltwater campsite and do a car shuffle to Bittangabee.
An earlier start will mean that people driving home after the walk will get home before dark hopefully.
Look forward to lovely weather and a beautiful walk,
Regards Helen Williamson"
